About the event
Sexual shame thrives in silence and loses power when spoken.
Shedding Sexual Shame is a day-long, community-centered gathering designed to bring sexual shame out of secrecy and into a supported, collective space for healing. This offering is rooted in the understanding that shame is not a personal failing, but something many of us inherit through culture, religion, family systems, and social conditioning.
Many of us spend time in the quiet of our rooms, alone when no one is watching, to engage with our shame. It brings us to our knees and to the edges of our humanity. We shed, we heal, we grow...all alone. This gathering invites you into healing with community. Rather than attempting to “fix” or bypass shame, this workshop invites you to meet it with curiosity and compassion. Through facilitated discussions, guided meditations, somatic and energetic practices, and group rituals, we will explore how sexual shame lives in the body and how it can begin to loosen when held collectively.
We’ll begin by gently arriving together, orienting the nervous system, and establishing shared agreements around safety, consent, and confidentiality. Through guided conversation, reflection, and journaling, we’ll explore how sexual shame is formed, inherited, and sustained, then move into meditation and gentle somatic awareness to notice how shame lives in the body without analysis or retelling stories. In structured, supported groups, you’ll have opportunities to share and be witnessed, without fixing, advice, or interpretation.
As the day continues, we’ll support release through breath, movement, sound, and energetic practices, followed by a facilitated ritual to symbolically release inherited beliefs around sex, desire, and pleasure. We’ll close with a consent-centered pleasure practice focused on safety, presence, and nourishment, and end with grounding, reflection, and guidance for aftercare and integration, so you leave feeling resourced and held.
You will never be required to share more than you want, participate in any activity that does not feel aligned, or engage in sexual touch. 🩷
This intensive is for you if you feel weighed down by shame around desire, pleasure, or your body. You long for healing that happens in community rather than isolation and are curious about somatic approaches to healing in a collective. You want to experience pleasure as something gentle, spacious, and allowed. 🫂
