Intentionally Entangled was created to center femmes as riggers, artists, and leaders in rope. This space is about more than technique; it’s about the somatic experience of Shibari: the way rope grounds us, helps us feel at home in our bodies, and invites connection with ourselves and with others. Here, rope becomes a practice of reclamation, empowerment, and femme-centered creativity.

All genders are welcome at this event, but tying will be reserved only for femmes (all genders are welcome to be tied/bottom) to create a container that uplifts femme riggers and nurtures empowerment, artistry, and embodied presence.

Not everyone experiences care, affection, and intimacy in the same way. Some people feel most connected through touch. Others through words, devoted attention, acts of care, or thoughtful gestures. In this workshop, we'll explore how these different expressions of connection can show up through rope and transform the way we tie with one another.

Together, we'll move through a series of partnered exercises inspired by the Five Love Languages, using rope as a tool for communication, attunement, and exploration. We'll examine what helps us feel seen, supported, appreciated, and connected, while discovering how our partners may experience those things differently.

Whether you're tying with a romantic partner, a friend, a play partner, or someone you've just met, this workshop invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and explore what connection feels like when intention becomes the focus.
